Certified Medication Technician or Qualified Medication Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living or memory care. Key Duties

  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers while adhering to scope of practice.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, medication effects, and any changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment.
  • Utilize ALIS for efficient medical documentation and communication.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety within the caregiving environment while following infection control protocols.

 

Experience

  • Certification as a Medication Aide in Tennessee.
  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or memory care is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring is essential.
  • Strong understanding of dementia care principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
